The Junior League of Sarasota will be participating in The Giving Challenge, an exciting 24-hour online giving event that connects about 700 nonprofit organizations with passionate donors and community members to support diverse causes and create enduring impact in Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte, and DeSoto counties.

❤️The Junior League of Sarasota is an organization of women whose mission is advance women’s leadership of meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training.

Each year, numerous young adults transition out of the foster care system facing the future without parental guidance. In response, the Junior League of Sarasota is dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of Sarasota County’s foster youth. Our signature initiative focuses on providing these emerging adults, aged 13-22, with the essential life skills and education they need to achieve self-sufficiency and live independently.

🤝What impact does my donation make?
$1,500 funds 1 year of keeping the lights on at our headquarters
$5,500 funds 1 year of Done in a Day projects, providing volunteer and material support to local nonprofits
$7,500 funds 1 year of Aging out of Foster Care volunteer initiative work

❤️Why Donate to JLS?
Over its nearly 70-year history the JLS has researched community needs and created programs and projects that addressed those needs. From literacy programs to youth shelters, back-to-school events and dozens of Done-in-a-Day projects, the League has been at the forefront of improving the lives of Sarasota residents. Today League members are volunteering countless hours on a multi-year aging out of foster care initiative. Your support helps continue that important work in Sarasota County!

❤️Why Donate During the Giving Challenge?
The Giving Challenge is hosted by the Community Foundation of Sarasota County, with giving strengthened by The Patterson Foundation. The Patterson Foundation will provide a 1:1 match for all unique donations, up to $100 per donor, per organization made online with a credit or debit card during this 24-hour period!
